“नीतिज्ञा नियतिज्ञा वेदज्ञा अपि भवन्ति शास्त्रज्ञाः ।
ब्रह्मज्ञा अपि लभ्या स्वाज्ञानज्ञानिनो विरलाः ॥”

"People who know morality, the inner order of conduct, the Vedas (knowledge), the Scriptures, or even the Supreme Spirit are plentiful; but rare are those who know their own ignorance."

I am Braghadeesh Lakshminarayanan, a doctoral student in the Division of Decision and Control Systems (DCS) at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. I began my doctoral studies in August 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Cristian Rojas.

I graduated with a Master’s degree (M.Tech) in Communication and Networks (CN) in July 2020 from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India, where I was advised by Prof. Aditya Gopalan. Prior to joining IISc, I worked as a VLSI Engineer at Wipro Technologies, Bangalore, India, from 2016 to 2017. I earned my Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2016 from the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India.

My research interests include parameter estimation, control theory, optimization, and sequential decision-making under uncertainty.

How to pronounce my name?

Here is an “English” way of pronouncing my name: Brag + had + eesh (First name) Luck + she + me + nah + raw + yeah + none (Last name)

What does my name mean?

My first name is one of the names of Lord Shiva, the main deity of the Brihadishvara temple. My last name is my father’s first name, which is one of the names of Lord Vishnu, Lakshmi Narayanan.
